Located in Gustavus, Alaska, only 10 miles from Glacier Bay National Park
and 50 miles west of Juneau, capital of Alaska, The Puffin's Bed and Breakfast
Lodge is in central Gustavus only 2 miles from the dock in Icy Straits renowned
for it's incredible halibut and salmon fishing and one mile from the airport
serviced year round by many air taxies and Alaska Airlines daily jet from Juneau in the
summer. This year, 2010, the new $2 million dock will be completed and will greatly
enhance Gustavus. The new dock will be able to service the Alaska Marine Highway
Ferry and provide a landing for barges from Juneau. In addition, new floats will
provide easy and safe access to the charter fishing boats. In 2009, the new
hydroelectric project was completed providing Gustavus with a new source of
electricity.
